For 20 years the Galicia Jewish Museum has been presenting the history and heritage of the Jewish community of the historical region of Galicia through its permanent and temporary exhibitions. In order to get to know this history better and to understand it, we would like to invite you on a few trips during which we will show you small towns near Krakow, where we will follow the traces of their Jewish population.

Most of the tourists visiting Krakow and a vast part of its citizens identify Jewish life with Krakow’s district of Kazimierz, at the same time often forgetting that Jewish life flourished in towns all over today’s capital of the Lesser Poland region. We would like to invite you on a trip in the footsteps of the Jewish communities of towns surrounding Krakow, during which we will get to know the history of Jewish citizens of Wieliczka, Dobczyce, and Gdów, and we will show you the remains of the material heritage, which, though often forgotten or omitted, is important to the history of these places.
