Online Store Terms and Conditions
I. Definitions
- CUSTOMER – a natural person with full legal capacity, as well as a legal person or organizational unit, purchasing “Goods” in the Store.
- SELLER – Galicia Jewish Heritage Institute Foundation, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register maintained by the District Court for Kraków-Śródmieście in Kraków, 11th Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under number 0000199737, NIP: 672259768, REGON: 35681339700000, e-mail: bookshop@galiciajewishmuseum.org, tel.: +48 12 421 68 42.
- GOODS – products described on the website and offered for sale.
- ORDER – an offer to conclude a contract submitted by the Customer to the Seller via the form available on the website, specifying the type and quantity of Goods.
- STORE – the online bookstore.
- WEBSITE – the website available at www.galiciajewishmuseum.org.
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS – these Terms and Conditions.
- DATA – information provided by the Customer when placing an Order, necessary for its fulfillment.
II. Technical Requirements
- Use of the Store by the Customer is possible provided that the following conditions are met:
- Web browser: Internet Explorer version 9 or newer, Chrome version 8 or newer, Opera version 10.60 or newer, Safari 5.0 or newer, or another web browser supporting HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript technologies.
- Recommended screen resolution: 1024×768.
- Color depth: 32-bit or higher.
- The Customer should have a mobile phone number to which information regarding parcel collection will be sent.
- The Seller reserves the right that if the above requirements are not met, the Customer may not be able to place an Order via the Website or complete the contract conclusion and performance process.
- The Seller informs that it holds the status of an entrepreneur, and consumer protection provisions apply to sales contracts concluded in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
- The Seller is responsible for the conformity of the service with the contract in accordance with applicable law.

Services Provided by the Seller
- Enabling the creation of user accounts in the Store.
- Enabling the conclusion of sales contracts in the Store.
The Customer has the right to withdraw from the sales contract in accordance with applicable law and these Terms and Conditions.
Complaints regarding services may be submitted by e-mail to bookshop@galiciajewishmuseum.org.
The complaint should include a brief description and will be examined as soon as possible, no later than within 14 days from the date of receipt. The Customer will be informed about the outcome by phone or e-mail.
Customer Obligations
- Use the Store in compliance with Polish law and these Terms and Conditions.
- Use the Store in a manner that does not disrupt its operation.
- Refrain from providing or transmitting unlawful content.
- Use content available in the Store for personal use only.
- Use the Store in a manner not burdensome to other Customers.
- Refrain from sending or posting unsolicited commercial information via the Store.
III. Placing Orders
- Orders may be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To conclude a sales contract, the Customer must select available Goods and submit an electronic Order by following the on-screen instructions.
- In the Order, the Customer must:
- Specify the Goods and their quantity.
- Provide their details to the Seller.
- Specify the payment and delivery method.
- To place an effective Order, the Customer must accept these Terms and Conditions.
- Until clicking the “buy and pay” button, the Customer may modify the Order and their details.
- After placing the Order, the Customer will receive a confirmation e-mail. Upon receipt of confirmation, the contract is concluded.
- The contract is concluded in the Polish language.
IV. Product Prices
- Prices are given in Polish zloty (PLN) and include VAT.
- Prices do not include shipping costs.
- The final price is the price displayed in the cart at the time of placing the Order.
- The Seller reserves the right to change product prices. Changes do not apply to Orders placed before the change.
- In the event of a price reduction, the Seller shall indicate the lowest price of the Goods valid within 30 days prior to the reduction.
Payment Methods
- The Customer selects the payment and delivery method during the Order process.
- The Customer may pay:
- Cash on delivery (within Poland only).
- By bank transfer via the PAYU system: express transfer or credit card.

If the Customer chooses payment by bank transfer, the Seller awaits payment for 14 days from the Order date. After this period, the Order will be automatically canceled. The Customer receives a fiscal receipt or VAT invoice (if required data is provided).
Order Processing Time
- The Order will be prepared for shipment within up to 3 business days. The Seller shall make every effort to deliver the Goods without undue delay and no later than 30 days.
- Delivery is deemed completed upon handing the Goods over to the carrier.
- Delivery is carried out by postal or courier shipment according to the Customer’s choice.
- Shipping costs are indicated in the “payment and delivery methods” section of the Website.
VII. Consumer Right of Withdrawal
- A Customer who is a consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
- The 14-day period runs from the date the Goods are received by the Customer.
- To withdraw, the Customer must inform the Seller, e.g., by post or e-mail.
- In the event of withdrawal, the Seller shall refund all payments received without undue delay and no later than 14 days from being informed.
- The Customer must return the Goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days. The Customer is responsible for any diminished value resulting from improper handling.
- The Customer bears the cost of returning the Goods.
- Returns should be sent to: Galicia Jewish Heritage Institute Foundation, ul. Dajwór 18, 31-052 Kraków, Poland.
- The refund will be made using the same payment method as the original transaction, unless the Customer provides a bank account number for the refund.
