“It rained salvo after salvo, dense as in war rifles rattled…. Forgetting the voices of the past. A record of memories of the coming Holocaust”
Meeting with Dr. Alicja Jarkowska and her research team

The research team led by Dr. Alicja Jarkowska of the Institute of History at the Jagiellonian University, in cooperation with the Center for the Study of the History and Culture of Kraków Jews, will bring the atmosphere of the events of March 1943. The experts, who are carrying out a scientific project on the wartime fate of Krakow’s Jews, will present a picture of those days, using the memories of the inhabitants of the Krakow ghetto. Among the many sources analyzed are accounts by Amalie Mandelbaum née Hofsteter, Majer Weinreb, Leib Storch, Bronislawa Feld (née Reudel), Mila Hornik and others who “recorded” the coming Holocaust on a daily basis.
