Internship Offers
INTERNSHIP AND TRAINEESHIP PROGRAMME AT THE GALICIA JEWISH MUSEUM
The Galicia Jewish Museum runs an internship programme for university students and recent graduates. Interns, actively involved in the museum’s daily operations, gain professional experience in a dynamic and growing cultural institution.
The programme provides insight into the work of the Education Department, Visitor Services, PR and Communications, Operations, and Exhibition Organization. Most internships and traineeships follow a general format, involving participation in the work of various museum departments.
The main responsibilities of interns include guiding visitors through permanent and temporary exhibitions, working at the museum reception desk (according to a set schedule and after prior training), and assisting departments with their ongoing tasks.
The detailed programme of each internship/traineeship is determined prior to its commencement and depends on the museum’s current projects, university requirements, as well as the intern’s skills and interests.
Volunteering
Volunteers at the Galicia Jewish Museum primarily support three departments: Education, Visitor Services, and Operations. The scope of a volunteer’s work is defined by a volunteer agreement.
The Galicia Jewish Museum hosts volunteers in cooperation with:
Association ASF in Poland

The Association closely cooperates with Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (ASF) in Germany. It undertakes initiatives focused on historical education, particularly related to the period of the Second World War and the consequences of National Socialism. It organizes meetings aimed against racism, xenophobia, and all forms of discrimination, and engages in activities promoting peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding. Its objectives are achieved through the promotion and organization of international volunteering programmes.

Volunteering also takes place within the framework of the European Solidarity Corps.
