On-site event
January 27th is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which marks the liberation of the labor and death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. To commemorate this day we would like to invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition “10 Polish Cities—10 Jewish Stories”. The tour is free of charge and will take place in three languages:
16.00 – in Polish
16.30 – in English
17.00 – in German
The exhibition “10 Polish Cities—10 Jewish Stories” is based on accounts of five women and five men born in prewar Poland, who came from different backgrounds and different towns. The exhibition depicts how important historical events of the 20th century shaped the fates of these people , how the Second World War impacted their lives, and what decisions they made in post-war years. Such a perspective allows us to reach beyond numbers and dates, and to look at recent history through the fates of individuals.
Please note: on International Holocaust Remembrance Day admission is free to all Galicia Jewish Museum exhibitions.
In Polish, English, and German.
Free admission.
