Dir. Anna Kokoszka-Romer, Mateusz Kudła
After several decades, they finally managed to meet in their hometown. Two artists, photographer Ryszard Horowitz and director Roman Polanski, wander through Kraków on the trail of their wartime experiences. They wander the streets of Kazimierz and the former ghetto, peek into the apartments where they spent their boyhood years, and reminisce about those who are no longer with them – but also those thanks to whom they survived the Holocaust. The film is a colorful tale of childhood, friendship, shared Jewish fate and, above all, a place that (despite the passage of time and many changes) still remains home.
In Polish, subtitles in English.
