Family Sunday: “Podhale oraz Orawa, Spisz i Pieniny. Przewodnik dla dużych i małych” (“Podhale and Orawa, Spisz and Pieniny. A Guide for Children and Adults”) – A meeting with authors of the book, Barbara Gawryluk and Paweł Skawiński

“Unique monuments, mysterious castles and fortresses, open-air ethnographic museums, abandoned villages, rushing rivers, unusual plants, and protected animals – you will find it all in the region surrounding Tatra Mountains in the south of Poland. We would like to invite you to a journey through Podhale, Spisz, Orawa, and Pieniny” – this is how Barbara Gawryluk, a journalist and writer, and Paweł Skawiński, the former director of the Tatra National Park, begin their new book.

What do “nine forces” look like? Who is a “honielnik”? What do black grouses do during mating season? Who is a “cepr”? What is the difference between a “moskole” and gałuski cuchane? Where is the City of the Children of the World? What are “talorki”? Why is Chochołów considered a live open-air ethnographic museum? What are the routes of the historic railway? And if you visit in July, in which health resort can you find the best authors of children’s books?

You will find answers to these and many more questions in the Gawryluk-Skawiński duo’s second book! And during this amazing meeting!
