Family Sunday: Can You Ride a Skateboard in a Museum?

Skateboarding in a museum? YES PLEASE!

Currently at the Galicia Jewish Museum we are presenting the pop sk8-art exhibition “Jewish Quarter Pipe” by New York-based artist Steve Marcus.

As part of our Family Sunday series, we invite you to a longboard workshop for children and a creative zone where you will be able to design your own board inspired by Steve Marcus’ work or your own imagination. On top of that, you will also hear more about Jewish symbolism, which is present in the works that adorn our walls today.

So put on your most comfortable clothes and join us!

At 11:00 a.m., longboarding workshops for kids aged 9-15 will be led by Joanna Kozakiewicz, an instructor and award-winning longboarder. You are welcome to come with your own longboard and ride in the Museum space! (10 spots available, please register at: zapisy@galiciajewishmuseum.org)

At 12:00 Olga Adamowska, from the Mifgash Foundation and the JCC Krakow education department, will talk about Jewish symbolism as it appears in art and culture

And between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Anna Wencel, artist and educator, invites you to participate in creative fingerboard decorating.

In Polish. Free admission.
