Cyanotype is one of the genuine photography techniques which uses the light-sensitivity of ferric oxalate. In a darkroom or a poorly lit room, a sheet of paper or fabric is covered with a special solution which creates a light-sensitive yellow-green surface. After drying, it is irradiated in the sun or in lamp light. The pictures which are created in the process don’t need a copy and have a very distinctive color, the so-called Prussian blue. By the use of this method, we return to 1843 and Anna Atkins, a British botanist. During the family workshop, we will get to know her works and we will create bookmarks.
If you own interesting pieces of dried plants or e.g. feathers, take them with you!
This workshop is for children aged 6 and over.
In Polish. Free admission.
