“Voices from Behind the Ghetto Wall” is a new composition by Maciej Zimka – a work for mezzo-soprano, instrumental ensemble, and electronics, inspired by the diary of Rywka Lipszyc, a teenage prisoner of the Łódź Ghetto.

The project features mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kulig and the Pro Sonus Ensemble. The piece combines live music with an electronic layer, drawing upon Rywka’s writings – a testament to life in the ghetto, as well as her personal reflections, faith, and hope.

The project is supported by the Jewish Institute of Arts, POLMIC.PL, and the Polish Institute in Tel Aviv.

Free admission.

This project is conducted as part of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
