We invite you to a walking tour of the former Kraków Ghetto on Sunday, October 25th, 2026. The event will focus on the second deportation of Jews from the Kraków Ghetto to the Bełżec extermination camp, carried out by the Germans on October 28, 1942. Approximately 5,000 people were deported at that time, while several hundred were murdered on-site by the occupying forces. To recall and commemorate the victims of these actions, we will walk along streets such as Węgierska and Józefińska, stopping at the former Kinderheim (orphanage) building and Ghetto Heroes Square (Plac Bohaterów Getta). Weather permitting, the tour will conclude at Lasota Hill, near the Church of St. Benedict. We will discuss how the urban space was transformed into a prison and a tool of oppression, and—using the words of witnesses—we will recount the events that befell those imprisoned in the Kraków Ghetto in late October.
