“Senior Weekend with Culture” is a unique initiative by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland that encourages seniors to actively participate in cultural life, fosters social integration and engagement, and makes it easier to discover the rich offerings of local cultural institutions. This year marks the thirteenth edition of the event.
The Galicia Jewish Museum is once again taking part in the initiative! Our program includes:
- Tickets for seniors (60+) for 10 PLN
- Sunday, 4.10.2026, 11:00 – Guided tour of the exhibition “Intersections: Papercuts by Anna Wencel” with the artist
The temporary exhibition “Intersections” at the Galicia Jewish Museum features original, contemporary papercuts created by Anna Wencel. The works incorporate elements characteristic of Jewish papercutting, references to Polish and Ukrainian folk traditions, and inspirations from other cultural spheres. The exhibition subtly blends artistic and educational dimensions, serving as a backdrop for a story about the art of papercutting, symbols, and their various meanings.
