Mid-September is a great time for all blues lovers in Poland. On September 16th falls the birthday of the King of Blues, B.B. King. This is an occasion to celebrate Polish Blues Day.
This year, at the Galicia Jewish Museum, we are celebrating this day with a unique trio. Ornery Broad (Kwiatkowska / Sicińska / Wolski) is a combination of female energy, singing, and strong friendship. The musicians come from diverse regions and musical backgrounds, but all share a passion for Americana. This is what you can expect at their concerts. The rest is a complete surprise.
The band:
Natalia Kwiatkowska – one of the best blues vocalists in Poland, multiple award winner, vocalist of the band Cheap Tobacco.
Eliza Sicińska – vocalist, singer/songwriter who is especially known for her performances of blues and American folk. She is a multiple award winner and a vocalist of the band Hot Tamales.
Paula Wolski – a Finnish singer who has been living in Poland for over a decade. She plays ukulele and violin and sings folk, country, bluegrass, and songs inspired by Finnish folk music. Apart from popular music, she performs the Finnish epic “Kalevala”.
Tickets: 60 PLN (presale), 70 PLN (on the day of the concert)
