2nd Balzan Bystanding Lecture by Prof. Barbara Engelking (Polish Academy of Science, Warsaw)

Balzan Bystanding Lecture series honours the work of Prof. Saul Friedländer. It is held as part of the project “Bystanding and the Holocaust in Europe. Experiences, Ramifications, Representations, 1933 to the Present.” The project runs from 2022-2027 and is funded by International Balzan Prize awarded to Prof. Saul Friedländer, the DFG, and the University of Bielefeld. Research Center for Memory Cultures (Faculty of Polish Studies, Jagiellonian University) is a partner of the project.
