“Putin's Witnesses”
dir. Vitaly Mansky
Lithuania/Switzerland/Czech Republic 2018, 107'

The Galicia Jewish museum will screen the documentary film “Putin’s Witnesses” in partnership with Docs Against Gravity. The events of the film begin on December 31, 1999 when Russia was introduced with its new president, Vladimir Putin. The film is based on limited documentary testimonies that describe the true causes and consequences of the operation “Successor”, which resulted in the ascendancy of the Russian president, who is still in power today. Featured in the film are Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, Vladimir Putin and the people of the Russian nation; a perpetually silent witness of their own destiny.
