Zecher – Galician Etudes

“Zecher” is an art performance taking place at the permanent exhibition of the Galicia Jewish Museum. Like the Wandering Jew, the viewer, together with the artists, goes on a journey through Polish-Jewish history, exploring not only sections of the exhibition, but also various art forms (music, dance, theater).

Tomek Lipiński with his band – unplugged

Tomek Lipiński is a Polish vocalist, guitarist, composer, songwriter. He was born in 1955 in Warsaw. After graduating from high school, he briefly studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Known as the front man and co-founder of such legendary rock bands as Tilt and Brygada Kryzys, he was also the co-founder of Fotoness. He has collaborated with such bands as Izrael, and recorded albums as a solo artist („Nie pytaj mnie”, 1994 and „To, czego pragniesz”, 2015).

Judaica: Bodies of Song

The Judaica project is a laboratory for a newly embodied technique at the crossroads of experimental performance, critical identity politics, and ethnomusicological archives. The team works with Jewish songs from all over the world in the languages of Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, Turkish, Luganda, English, among others.
