Concert: Wolna Grupa Bukowina

Wolna Grupa Bukowina is a Polish singer-songwriter band which debuted in 1971 at a festival  in Szklarska Poręba. The band originates from Busko-Zdrój, and was founded by fresh high school graduate, Wojciec Bellon. His song “Ponidzie” won one of the main awards at the festival. Though the band’s lineup has seen many changes over the years, at its core, are: Wojciech Bellon, who is also its main songwriter, Grażyna Kulawik, Wojciech Jarociński, and Wacław Juszczyszyn. Aside from having released albums, the band has also won numerous awards at different festivals, e.g. in Opole, and has had legendary performances in Kraków, and twice at Woodstock Festival Poland, among others. The band also had numerous gigs in Europe and for Polish communities in Canada, the United States, and Ireland. For 45 years, Wolna Grupa Bukowna has been touring Poland and gaining fans, even among younger audiences. It is a persistent and important phenomenon of the Polish music scene.
